Event Overview: The Sisters Islands Basketball Tournament 2026 (SIBT) is an international U18 men's basketball tournament organized in Saint-Martin.


This event aims to promote competitive basketball among young people, while also showcasing emerging talents from the Caribbean and international regions.

As part of a youth sports development and regional cooperation initiative, the SIBT serves as a catalyst for highlighting athletic achievements and strengthening exchanges between partner territories.

Pool play

Final rounds: semi-finals and final

Sporting Framework: FIBA Regulations applied by default

Matches played in 2 x 15 minutes

Organized with pool play followed by final rounds

🎯 Event Objectives The SIBT is part of an initiative to:

develop youth basketball

structure regional sports exchanges

promote the educational values of sport

foster cooperation between Caribbean territories

highlight emerging sports talents


🤝 Participation Conditions Participation Fee:

400 € per delegation

Payment Deadline: May 12, 2026

Delegation welcome during the official event period

🏀 Organization The CTBIN – Territorial Basketball Committee of the Northern Islands (977 / 978 Saint-Barthélemy – Saint-Martin) is the official organizer of the event.

The SIBT is also institutionally supported by CEES, the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, and the Territorial Fund for Social Works, reflecting a shared commitment to structure and promote the development of youth basketball in the territory and throughout the Caribbean.

The 2026 edition will take place on May 15 and 16 at the Jean-Louis Vanterpool Stadium Sports Hall in Marigot. Over two days, the best U18 teams from the United States, Anguilla, Tortola, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Sint Maarten, and Saint-Martin will participate in high-level matches, recognition events, official ceremonies, and activities designed to highlight youth, sport, and Caribbean cooperation.
