Missions

Five-year review for holders of the BEESAN or BPJEPS AAN qualification.

The practice of the lifeguard profession is subject to a review every 5 years: it must be completed before December 31st of the 5th year following the initial qualification, or the last lifeguard review.

The training, with a minimum duration of 24 hours spread over at least 3 days, includes:

  • a refresher with first aid evaluation (first aid training must be up to date at the time of the course);
  • regulatory update (refreshing existing knowledge);
  • rescue with evaluation.

The study of one or more themes chosen from subjects closely linked to the professional life of lifeguards may also complement this training.

Pré-requis

• Be up to date with PSE1 or PSE2 training.
• Present a medical certificate of no contraindication to the practice of the lifeguard profession, dated less than three months, established in accordance with the model in Annex III of the relevant order.

Objectifs de la formation

Training duration: 21 hours (3 days).

It aims to maintain competencies and acquire new knowledge linked to the evolution of the profession, in the field of aquatic safety.


- Changes in the professional environment:
• different aquatic activity venues;
• teaching and animation of aquatic activities - changes in safety;
• health and safety of practitioners - regulatory framework.


- Rescue procedures:
• implementation of specific techniques and equipment taking into account new developments;
• understanding of strategies to ensure user safety and prevent risk behaviours;
• presentation of concrete cases;
• recommended behaviour and actions in case of incident or accident.
