Coup d'envoi pour l'excellence !
Hier, lundi août, élèves-athlètes ont effectué leur rentrée dans les CPT, Centres de Perfectionnement Territoriaux, en basketball , en football et athlétisme . Même si les vacances se sont écourtées pour ces jeunes, la motivation était au rendez-vous.
Dès les premières minutes, le ton a été donné : l'objectif, c'est l'excellence sportive et scolaire .
La matinée a été rythmée par les discours de bienvenue des élus, du directeur et de la principale, madame Velayoudon et la remise des uniformes. Dominique Démocrite Louisy, ème Vice-Présidente et Monsieur Conner (Smfa Saint-Martin) ont également fait le tour des classes afin de rencontrer les athlètes. Dans l'après-midi, les cahiers et les stylos ont regagné le cartable pour laisser place à l'entraînement !
Ce beau projet a vu le jour grâce à la collaboaration du CEES et de Région académique Guadeloupe sans oublier le support constant de la Collectivité de Saint-Martin Our News.
Nous tenons aussi à remercier la ligue de football, Smfa Saint-Martin, le comité de basketball, CTBIN, et le club d'athlétisme, Avenir Sportif, pour leur investissement.
Une chose est sûre, tout est mis en oeuvre pour que les élèves-atlètes STEP UP LEUR GAME ! Nous sommes TOUS mobilisés !!

The Saint-Martin Center for Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES) is preparing for the return of its student-athletes. There are 60 of them this year, and they will participate in the program's integration week from August 24 to 28. As the new school year approaches, the Center for Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES) is organizing an integration week from August 24 to 28, 2026, for the 60 student-athletes of the Territorial Sports Centers—a program funded by the Collectivity to support and train young athletes in Saint-Martin. The CEES is welcoming about twenty fewer students than last year. For this new year, it has now added baseball to further strengthen the diversity of sports offered to young talents. Their new academic and athletic year begins with these few days, during which the triple focus on academics, sports, and citizenship is already being put into practice.

Sporty Challenge Saint-Martin: a sporting challenge for everyone, at every level
Inspiring a love for sports, whatever your goal: that is the aim of the Sporty Challenge Saint-Martin, which will take place on Sunday, September 27, at the Galion site. This first edition is part of the European Week of Sport, an initiative led by the European Commission and held annually from September 23 to 30. Through the #BeActive campaign, this initiative encourages everyone to engage in physical and sporting activities, regardless of age, background, or fitness level.
