The Saint-Martin Center for Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES) is preparing for the return of its student-athletes. There are 60 of them this year, and they will participate in the program's integration week from August 24 to 28.
As the new school year approaches, the Center for Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES) is organizing an integration week from August 24 to 28, 2026, for the 60 student-athletes of the Territorial Sports Centers—a program funded by the Collectivity to support and train young athletes in Saint-Martin. The CEES is welcoming about twenty fewer students than last year. For this new year, it has now added baseball to further strengthen the diversity of sports offered to young talents. Their new academic and athletic year begins with these few days, during which the triple focus on academics, sports, and citizenship is already being put into practice.
Workshops to support the student-athlete journey
The week will begin on Monday, August 24, at 8:15 a.m. with a 45-minute presentation meeting for families, student-athletes, and the CEES team. Throughout the week, the student-athletes will participate in a series of educational workshops, discussion sessions, and group activities designed to support them on their journey. The program includes: mental preparation, personal development through workshops such as "vision boards," communication and media relations training, as well as injury prevention and the promotion of athlete health.
Civic workshops will also address essential issues, such as the prevention of addictive behaviors and the promotion of healthy, respectful relationships. The internal regulations of the CSTs will also be approached interactively through workshops led by the CEES team. These discussion sessions will allow student-athletes to better understand the framework that supports them, as well as their rights and responsibilities. The week will conclude with a CST Challenge, dedicated to cohesion and team spirit.
