Missions

This training aims to provide the skills needed to obtain the BP JEPS qualification and work as a Sports Educator specialising in Aquatic Activities and Swimming.

The BP JEPS AAN prepares for the profession of lifeguard. In this role, the holder supervises all types of public in all settings (natural or artificial) in which they implement a project.

The holder runs discovery, animation and educational activities: school swimming, competitive swimming, person-centred aquatic activities (water awakening for very young children, health and wellbeing activities, activities for seniors), and various "aqua" activities (aquagym, aqua fitness, aqua bike…).

Skills:

• Teach the various swimming disciplines;
• Lead awareness-raising and initiation activities for all audiences in aquatic activities and swimming;
• Ensure rescue and safety in all types of practice venues;
• Design animation projects that fit within the structure's overall project;
• Participate in the operation, communication and maintenance of the structure.

Pré-requis

• Be registered as a jobseeker with Pôle Emploi for more than 6 months, or at the Mission Locale;
• Hold the required Baccalauréat level qualification;
• Be at least 18, with a career project focused on teaching Aquatic Activities and Swimming;
• Hold a valid PSE1 or PSE2 first aid qualification;
• Have passed the selection tests (written test, motivation interview);
• Provide a medical certificate of no contraindication dated less than one year old;
• Be admitted to the BNSSA exam and, if required, provide proof of up-to-date skills maintenance;
• Provide a 400m freestyle certificate in a maximum of 7 minutes 40 seconds.
